Surf Wax Brand
The Brief
Create a brand and product line with a set of three variations, maintaining the shape of a cube box. Ensure the packaging design fits the brand identity of the brand created and the three box variations should be cohesive.
The Approach
I created a surf wax brand called Goose Wax that has a friendly and warm brand identity designed around the idea they are a local business owned by a bunch of mates. The approach for the packaging design was to make something bright and bold to be beginner friendly as for new surfers, it can be confusing to understand what type of wax they should buy. Considering that surf wax is normally stocked behind the counter at most surf shops, making a bright and loud design helps draw customer’s attention compared to competitors.
